Deep Tissue Massage From A Chartered Physiotherapist.
What Is Deep Tissue Massage?
Deep tissue massage is one form of massage therapy that focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue in the body. Some of the same strokes as classic massage therapy may be used, but the movement is generally slower and the pressure will be deeper and concentrated on the areas where the patient feels tension and pain.
Our Physiotherapists are trained to be able to go deeper than just the muscle and in a lot of cases will also perform some mobilisations to the underlying joints and ligaments. We always recommend to patients that a 30 minute treatment for massage is enough.
What Spectrum Physio Offers
We train all of our Physios to be able to perform a variety of deep tissue techniques that will significantly assist in the daily function of affected muscles. Our Physios' deep tissue massage approach focuses on using enough pressure to achieve effective pain relief without making you uncomfortable. Your comfort is a priority. Our Physio will also ensure that all of our patients know how they can manage their tension throughout the week to help avoid a recurrence of their problems.
Our Chartered Physiotherapists are trained to be able to massage deeper, meaning they can reach those deeper muscles that often get neglected by lighter touch therapies. Chartered Physiotherapists also understand the body better than most due to their extensive training in anatomy and physiology, which means that not only will you get immediate relief, we will also get to the bottom of your underlying cause for pain and can give you advice on how to correct this.
